Season of lists:
So, here I am at the wii again, choosing each letter via pointer to compose a message I haven't yet thought through.
I've ... been distracted and -- let's...
this latest attempt was foiled by a cat in a tree. ....no worries, yours truly with a laser pointer totally took the situation - and cat - in hand.
I'll just tell you this now: Today, at my local delegate election [for Obama], the democratic contest came down to a coin toss between a man who was part of the campaign over a year before there even was an organized campaign and a man who hasn't been a formal part of this local campaign at all. The guy isn't from out of no where for this community and he - most importantly - showed up early and hustled himself some additional support.
...kind of an Obama feel to his coming up though. Hilary might have believed she had this locked up from the beginning when out comes this guy "from out of nowhere" who rallies together big time support and threatens to take over all the way.
Our guy has worked So hard and has some regocnition [maybe not exactly in the heart of my district perhaps but he got the Shperherd Fairey Obama posters and stickers up everywhere out here - which he showed up and distributed.] and the support of the field team and distrct campaign. But he got there late and then was didn't get a chance to connect with those who had not yet decided... and so the vote came down to a tie and coin toss.
...I wanna believe the winner will vote as he should anyway and that's the bottom line and there is, of course, still a lot more work to do. I'd like to believe that our field team will absorb our new delegate into the fold and get an injection of fresh blood - I know those guys have been working doggedly. But if that can happen then our representation from my district can be even stronger than we'd anticipated.
tired now, busier weeks than ever behind me and busier still ahead.
